Amstrad CPC 464, Anglie, 1984. Obraz vytváří Motorola 6845 spolu s Amstrad Gate Array.
English / Anglicky:
Amstrad CPC 464, England, 1984. Amstrad's first computer was publicly unveiled on 11 April 1984 at Westminster School in London and reached UK shops on 21 June. Alan Sugar's idea was to offer a complete home system that did not take over the family television or require a separate cassette recorder. The CPC 464 therefore combines the computer, full size keyboard and cassette deck in one case and was sold with its own monitor, which also supplies power to the computer. Inside is a Zilog Z80A running at 4 MHz, 64 KB RAM and 32 KB ROM containing the firmware and Locomotive BASIC 1.0. Video is generated by a Motorola 6845 together with Amstrad's Gate Array. The standard modes provide 160 × 200 pixels in 16 colours, 320 × 200 in 4 colours or 640 × 200 in 2 colours from a palette of 27. Sound comes from the three channel AY-3-8912 and the built in cassette recorder operates at 1000 or 2000 baud. For disk use, the external DDI-1 could be attached, adding a 3 inch drive and disk software. The CPC 464 became the foundation of the successful Amstrad CPC range.
