Systém má 192 KB ROM, 16 KB obrazové RAM a další konfigurační EPROM. Monochromatický LCD nabízí 80 × 25 znaků nebo bitmapovou grafiku 480 × 200 bodů, což je výrazné zlepšení proti šestnácti řádkům původního HP 110. MS-DOS a často používané aplikace mohou být uloženy přímo v ROM modulech, takže jsou dostupné bez diskové mechaniky. Výbava zahrnuje HP-IL, RS-232C, piezoelektrický reproduktor a volitelný interní modem 300/1200 baudů. Dobíjecí 6V olověný akumulátor ze tří článků umožňuje dlouhý provoz mimo síť. Hewlett-Packard Portable Plus, USA, 1985. The successor to the HP 110 uses a CMOS Intel 80C86 at 5.33 MHz and 128 KB RAM in the base versions, with later variants also supplied with 256 or 512 KB. The system contains 192 KB ROM, 16 KB display RAM and a separate configuration EPROM. Its monochrome LCD provides 80 × 25 text or 480 × 200 bitmap graphics, a major improvement over the original HP 110's sixteen line display. MS-DOS and commonly used applications can reside directly in ROM modules, making them available without a disk drive. Interfaces include HP-IL, RS-232C, a piezoelectric speaker and an optional internal 300/1200 baud modem. A rechargeable 6 V sealed lead acid battery made from three cells provides extended operation away from mains power. The computer weighs about 4 kg and originally cost US$2,295.
