Hitachi MB-H2, Japonsko, 1984. Nástupce MB-H1 zůstává u standardu MSX1, ale výrazně rozšiřuje základní výbavu. Používá Sharp LH0080A kompatibilní se Z80A na 3,58 MHz, 64 KB RAM a 16 KB video RAM. Obraz zajišťuje TMS9128NL a zvuk AY-3-8910. Nejvýraznější novinkou je vestavěný kazetový magnetofon, který může počítač přímo ovládat přes vlastní I/O port. Firmware nabízí MSX BASIC, kreslicí Sketch, Sound Play, průvodce kazetou a monitor strojového kódu. Dva cartridge sloty a přepínač rychlosti procesoru zůstávají, proti MB-H1 přibývá také RGB výstup a sluchátkový konektor s regulací hlasitosti. Počítač má Centronics, dva standardní MSX ovladačové porty, RF, kompozitní video a externí konektor pro datový magnetofon. Váží přibližně 3,8 kg a při uvedení stál 79 800 jenů.

Hitachi MB-H2, Japan, 1984. The successor to the MB-H1 remains an MSX1 computer but substantially expands the standard equipment. It uses a Sharp LH0080A compatible with the Z80A at 3.58 MHz, 64 KB RAM and 16 KB video RAM. Video is generated by a TMS9128NL and sound by an AY-3-8910. Its most distinctive addition is the built in cassette recorder, which the computer can control directly through a dedicated I/O port. Firmware provides MSX BASIC, the Sketch drawing program, Sound Play, a cassette operation guide and a machine code monitor. Two cartridge slots and the CPU speed switch remain, while RGB output and a headphone socket with volume control are added over the MB-H1. The computer also provides Centronics, two standard MSX controller ports, RF, composite video and an external data recorder connector. It weighs about 3.8 kg and launched at ¥79,800.
