Mitsubishi ML-G10 / ML-G1, Japan/Spain, 1985/1986. The ML-G10 is Mitsubishi's first MSX2 computer and was released in Japan on 21 August 1985 for ¥98,000. It uses a NEC D780C-1 compatible with the Z80A at 3.58 MHz, 64 KB RAM and a full 128 KB of video RAM. Half the VRAM is on the mainboard and the other 64 KB sits on a separate expansion board beneath a service cover. Video is handled by the Yamaha V9938, while the S3527 MSX Engine includes the YM2149 PSG. The built in Hot Paper graphics application launches automatically at startup and uses SCREEN 7. There is no built in disk drive, but the computer has two cartridge slots, cassette, Centronics, RGB, composite video and two general controller ports. The optional Japanese ML-85AV adds video digitising, superimposition and titling. The Spanish ML-G1 followed in 1986 using the same basic hardware, priced at 63,500 pesetas, with regional localisation and an expansion bus position present on the PCB but without the connector fitted.
