English / Anglicky:
The Philips P2000T was among the Dutch manufacturer's earliest home computers and also found a place in schools thanks to its robust construction. Its most distinctive features were not its processor but its approach to display and storage. Rather than conventional bitmap graphics, it used teletext characters for colourful pages and block graphics. The built in Philips Mini Cassette acted as computer controlled file storage, complete with file searching, rather than a conventional tape recorder operated by hand. BASIC was supplied on a removable module, while additional interfaces could be installed as required. The P2000T combined elements of a home computer, practical terminal and classroom machine in a notably unconventional way.
