Plochá membránová klávesnice zůstala zachována a herní programy se vkládají do cartridge vedle obrazovky. Zatímco vestavěný CRT zobrazuje pouze odstíny šedi, elektronika konzole umí vytvářet barevný obraz, který lze vyvést na externí displej přes RGB konektor DIN-8. Příbuzné přístroje se objevily i pod značkami Radiola a Schneider. G7200 je proto zajímavou kombinací kompaktního televizního přístroje a samostatné herní konzole.
English / Anglicky:
The Philips Videopac G7200 shows how unusual a game console could look in the early 1980s. The Videopac/Odyssey² hardware was fitted with its own nine inch monochrome CRT, allowing games to be played without a separate television. The flat membrane keyboard remained, and game cartridges were inserted beside the display. Although its built in screen shows only monochrome images, the underlying hardware can generate colour video for an external display via an eight pin DIN RGB connector. Related systems also appeared under the Radiola and Schneider names. The G7200 is a distinctive combination of compact television like hardware and a self contained game console.
