Sharp MZ-6500 (MZ-5600), Japonsko/Evropa, 1984. Profesionální 16bitový systém používá Intel 8086-2 na 8 MHz, 256 KB systémové RAM rozšiřitelných na 512 KB a 96 KB VRAM, kterou lze rovněž zdvojnásobit. Grafika dosahuje 640 × 400 v osmi barvách a text 80 sloupců. Volitelný 8087-2 pracuje na stejném 8MHz taktu. Systém má Centronics, dva porty RS-232C, rozhraní pro až čtyři disketové mechaniky a u vybraných konfigurací pevný disk. Používal CP/M-86 i vlastní EOS-16 a není příbuzný domácím osmibitům MZ-700.

Sharp MZ-6500 (MZ-5600), Japan/Europe, 1984. This professional 16 bit system uses an 8 MHz Intel 8086-2, 256 KB system RAM expandable to 512 KB and 96 KB VRAM that can also be doubled. Graphics reach 640 × 400 in eight colours with 80 column text. An optional 8087-2 runs at the same 8 MHz clock. Interfaces include Centronics, two RS-232C ports, support for up to four floppy drives and, on selected configurations, a hard disk. It ran CP/M-86 and Sharp’s EOS-16 and is not closely related to the MZ-700 home computer line.
