Rok / Year:
1985/1987
Česky / Czech :
Sharp MZ-2500 × Sharp MZ-2800, Japonsko, 1985/1987.
English / Anglicky :
Sharp MZ-2500 × Sharp MZ-2800, Japan, 1985/1987. The MZ-2500 is the high end 8 bit Super MZ, using a Z80 at 6 MHz with graphics up to 640 × 400, FM sound and memory expandable to 256 KB. The MZ-2800 is a hybrid 16 bit system combining an 8 MHz Intel 80286 with a 6 MHz Z80B for MZ-2500 compatibility. It has 768 KB RAM, supports an optional 80287 and can run MS-DOS in 80286 mode. The pair is therefore not based on a single Z80 architecture, but represents the transition from an advanced 8 bit machine to a hybrid 16 bit design.
