Tatung Einstein TC-01, Anglie, 1984. Osmibit navržený v britských laboratořích Tatung používá Z80A na 4 MHz, 64 KB hlavní RAM a 16 KB video RAM. Obrazový TMS9129 nabízí 256 × 192 bodů v 16 barvách a až 32 spritů, zvuk obstarává AY-3-8910. Ve skříni je jedna 3″ disketová mechanika, druhou lze doplnit. V ROM je pouze monitor MOS, zatímco Xtal DOS a Xtal BASIC se načítají z diskety. Přestože kombinace Z80, TMS video a AY zvuku připomíná MSX, Einstein není s MSX softwarově kompatibilní. Tatung Einstein TC-01, England, 1984. Designed at Tatung's British laboratories, this 8 bit computer uses a 4 MHz Z80A, 64 KB main RAM and 16 KB video RAM. A TMS9129 provides 256 × 192 graphics in 16 colours with up to 32 sprites, while sound comes from an AY-3-8910. One 3 inch floppy drive is built in and a second can be added. Only the MOS monitor resides in ROM, while Xtal DOS and Xtal BASIC load from disk. Although its Z80, TMS video and AY sound resemble MSX hardware, the Einstein is not software compatible with MSX. Interfaces include RS-232, Centronics, two joystick ports and user I/O.
