Timex Computer 2048 (TC2048), Portugalsko, 1984. Portugalská varianta vychází z prototypu Timex Sinclair 2048 a používá Z80A na 3,5 MHz, 48 KB RAM a 16 KB ROM se Sinclair BASICem. Čip SCLD zachovává běžný obraz ZX Spectra 256 × 192, ale přidává režim 512 × 192 ve dvou barvách a rozšířené barevné atributy. Stroj má kompozitní obrazový výstup a vestavěné rozhraní kompatibilní s joystickem Kempston. Je vysoce kompatibilní se ZX Spectrem, ne však dokonale kvůli rozdílům v ROM. S Timex FDD3000 lze používat TOS i CP/M.

Timex Computer 2048 (TC2048), Portugal, 1984. This Portuguese model derives from the Timex Sinclair 2048 prototype and uses a 3.5 MHz Z80A, 48 KB RAM and 16 KB ROM containing Sinclair BASIC. Its SCLD retains the ZX Spectrum's normal 256 × 192 display while adding a 512 × 192 two colour mode and extended colour attributes. The computer has composite video and a built in Kempston compatible joystick interface. It is highly compatible with the ZX Spectrum, though ROM differences prevent complete compatibility. With the Timex FDD3000 it can run TOS and CP/M.
