Portugalský model navazuje na americký Timex Sinclair TS2068 z roku 1983, ale nesmí se s jeho datem uvedení ani elektrickým provedením automaticky zaměňovat. Používá Z80A, 48 KB RAM a 24 KB ROM s rozšířeným BASICem. Obvod Timex SCLD zachovává klasický obraz Spectra 256 × 192 a přidává další režimy, mimo jiné 512 × 192. Zvuk zajišťuje AY-3-8912. Portugalské provedení používá jiné napájení a zadní systémový konektor než americký TS2068. Dobové časopisy jeho existenci a disketový systém dokládají nejpozději v roce 1985.

The Portuguese TC2068 followed the American Timex Sinclair TS2068 introduced in 1983, but its introduction date and electrical design should not be assumed identical. It retains a Z80A, 48 KB RAM and 24 KB of extended BASIC ROM. The Timex SCLD provides the classic Spectrum 256 × 192 display together with additional modes including 512 × 192. Sound comes from an AY-3-8912. The Portuguese version uses different power arrangements and a rear expansion connector compared with the American TS2068. Contemporary periodical evidence confirms its sale alongside the disk system by 1985.
